Obtaining a domain name

Your TennisOffer Page As YourName.Com

Many tennis academies, coaches and players would prefer to use their own domain name, for example www.yourname.com rather than use sub-domain such as tennisoffer.com/yourname

The advantage of using a sub-domain with tennisoffer.com is that it can be set up instantaneously and there is no charge for hosting. However it does look more professional and it may be advantageous, for your business to have its own domain name.

To set up a domain name for your business simply register with one of the many domain registrars and register your chosen name e.g. www.yourname.com. You can then go into its control panel and ‘point’ to tennisoffer.com/yourname. Your tennisoffer.com Tennis Page will be found instantaneously by anyone typing www.yourname.com into their browser.

For convenience we have included a link to NameCheap one of the leading companies who register Domain Names.

1. To set the redirect for your domain, first, log in to your Namecheap account and click on Manage next to your domain:

NOTE: TLD (Top Level Domain) stands for your domain extension (.COM, .NET, etc.)

2. After you click on the Manage button, locate the Redirect Domain section and click on Add Redirect:

3. Type your domain in the Source URL field (e.g. yourdomain.tld / domain.com / newdomain.info) and the link to which you need to forward your domain in the Destination URL field. If you want both yourdomain.tld and www.yourdomain.tld to be redirected, add the record for www accordingly.

Save the changes using green checkmarks on the right or Save All Changes button:

Anyone typing www.yourname.com into their browser will then be sent instantaneously and seamlessly to your tennisoffer.com Tennis Page.
